A lot of promising research projects come about as a direct result of day-to-day clinical work. These projects are essential for the entire field of medical research because they bring about sustainable improvement and development of existing therapy concepts and practices.
Funding and personnel resources are extremely limited, but the challenges are huge – on account of both regulatory requirements and the growing number of involved partners.
We provide support in precisely this area – non-commercial research. This enables us to help researchers from Asklepios Kliniken Hamburg and students at the Asklepios Medical School in our role as central coordinating body: from contract management and application for ethics committee opinions and public funding right through to expert support by experienced medical professionals.
The IKF operates as a non-profit organisation, and is wholly financed by donations and research grants.
